In celebration of Nurse’s Week, Healthcare Science Academy is proud to spotlight one of our incredible instructors — Professor Mary Ann Carissa Oledan, RN, MAEd.

With nearly 8 years in healthcare, Professor Oledan brings experience from multiple areas of nursing including:🩺 Skilled Nursing Facilities🏥 Hospitals & Clinics🏡 Home Health🏫 School Nursing

She currently serves as a District / School Nurse, while also helping train the next generation of healthcare professionals here at Healthcare Science Academy.

🌟 More Than a Nurse — A Mentor

Professor Oledan says one of the most rewarding parts of her career has been:

“Teaching and helping others learn and grow in healthcare.”

That passion shows every day in the classroom.

She believes healthcare education is about more than clinical skills — it’s about helping students believe in themselves and realize they’re capable of succeeding too.

Her message to students:💙 “If I can make it, they can too. Keep pushing through and never give up on yourself.”
