CNA CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS (CEU'S)
The Healthcare Science Academy is an approved provider for classroom courses/ "In-person" for Certified Nurse Assistant Continuing Education by the California Department of Public Health NAC #1318.
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) CEU Requirements for Renewal

CNA's must obtain forty-eight (48) hours of In-Service Training/CEUs within the certification period.

A minimum of twelve (12) of the forty-eight (48) hours shall be completed in each year of the two (2) year certification period.

A maximum of twenty-four (24) of the forty-eight (48) hours may be obtained only through a CDPH-approved online computer training program.

CEU certificates must be attached to the CDPH Renewal Application Form for validation.

*Must have 8 hours of work experience as a CNA for renewal.
YEAR 1 - (Year you PASS the State Exam): 12 CEU's required.
YEAR 2 - (Year of Renewal): 3 CEU's required.
*Only 24 Hours are allowed to be completed through an online training program.

Healthcare Science Academy offers instructor-led CNA Continuing Education (CEU) Reinforcement opportunities during approved AM NATP theory sessions. The program is designed to allow certified CNA's to refresh knowledge, reinforce skills, complete post-examination, and earn CEU hours.
