🩺 First Day of Clinicals – February AM CNA Class

Today marks a major milestone for our February Nurse Assistant AM Class at Healthcare Science Academy — their first official day of clinical training at Lemon Grove Healthcare Center & Rehabilitation.

After successfully completing their classroom instruction and skills lab training, our students are now stepping into real-world patient care as they begin their 100 hours of hands-on clinical experience over the next 10 days.

This is where everything comes together.

Under the supervision of licensed nurses, students will apply the skills they’ve practiced in lab — vital signs, infection control, patient transfers, hygiene care, communication, documentation, and compassionate bedside manner — in a live healthcare setting. Clinical training is where confidence is built, professionalism is developed, and future Certified Nurse Assistants truly begin to see the impact of their work.

We are incredibly proud of this cohort for their professionalism, teamwork, and readiness to serve. Their dedication reflects the standard of excellence we strive for at Healthcare Science Academy.

Upon successful completion of their clinical hours, students will be eligible to graduate from the program and sit for the California State Competency Exam to become Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA).

Next stop: Graduation and State Testing. 🎓✨ Completing nursing school applications for some and starting a new career in healthcare for others.
