Home Health Aide (HHA)

40 HOUR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

The Home Health Aide (HHA) Training Program prepares the caregiver to provide personal care for the patient in the home setting. This course consists of both classroom instruction and clinical practice which consists of 20-hours of theory, and 20-hours of clinical practicum. Home health aides are certified by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and are employed by home health agencies to provide personal care services under a plan of treatment prescribed by the patient’s physician and surgeon who is licensed to practice medicine in California.

  • 40-hour certification course. Our concentrated curriculum will help you stay on track with your career goals.

***HOME HEALTH AIDE (HHA) ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS*** 

  • Must have a current Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certificate,  or;

  • Have successfully completed a 160-hour Nurse Assistant Training Program (NATP)

    • May begin HHP training only after successful completion of the NATP training.
